AZO Digital Sp. z o.o. began operations in 2008. The company develops and manufactures advanced power saving devices, lighting controls and innovative power converters. Our R & D department holds a number of international patents Our company has developed an innovative soloution. A classic ignition system is powered by a sinusoidal voltage to run a frequency of 50 Hz, which means that the discharge arc is heated and cooled 100 times per second, this results in a faster degradation of the electrodes and unevenness of the instantaneous light intensity (aliasing/stroboscopic effect). A classic ignition system uses an electromagnetic ballast for stabilisation and this causes 10% of heat loss. A classical ballast is extremely sensitive to variations in the voltage, even a 10% unstability can cause a significant shortening to the lamp life. In addition, electromagnetic stabilizers bring large losses of reactive power. Also electronic ballasts present on the market, working at frequencies below 1kHz, despite the stabilization of the performance of the lamps are very sensitive to changing behavior of hot plasma in the discharge lamps and, because of high complexity electronic system are not so effective.Smart Lamp is a system of a new generation, which thanks to a patented method to avoid acoustic resonance, can deliver power of a high frequency (100kHz) rectangular voltage. This allows for the maintaining of a uniform temperature of luminous plasma, significantly reducing the degeneration of the electrodes and other adverse effects present in other solutions. Such control allows energy savings of 15% and the active PFC system for an additional 5% of energy saving. The stabilization system allows Smart Lamp to be powered by a wide range of input voltages (90-280VAC). autonomously, based on a behavioral astronomical calendar, to reduce power consumption during the night and Smart Lamp can also be controlled externally by other control systems via an open data port. The application of Smart Lamp significantly prolongs the correct operation of light sources, which significantly affects the operating costs of lighting. In 2008 we received an EU grant for research on our advanced power units. At the end of 2008 the Business Angel SeedFund invested in the company and helped to open the new assembly plant in Gdynia. Now the company is able to produce 200,000 devices per year locally under ISO9001. |
